Summary



Reporting to the Resource Geologist and working closely with the Resource Development, Exploration, and Technical Services team, the Modeling Team Manager will lead Talisker's geological modeling team supporting resource estimation, mine planning, and exploration targeting for the Bralorne Gold Mine.

This position is an

18-month maternity leave coverage contract

and is based in our Vancouver office, with occasional travel to the Bralorne Mine site. The role involves coordinating people, data, and timelines across Exploration, Mine Geology, and Technical Services. Strong proficiency in Leapfrog Geo, GIS, and project management is essential.

Responsibilities



Working with the Exploration, Technical Services, and Resource Development teams, the Modeling Team Manager will be responsible for the following:

Lead the development and delivery of 3D geological models that support resource estimation, mine planning, and exploration Maintain modelling standards and workflows, ensuring data and interpretations are up to date in Leapfrog Coordinate and prioritize modelling tasks across the team, tracking progress and deadlines Work closely with Exploration and Resource Development teams to integrate drilling data, update vein wireframes, and communicate key changes Mentor junior modelers and help build team capability in Leapfrog, data validation and QC, and modelling best practices Look for opportunities to automate tasks and improve efficiency, including GIS support and spatial data products Management of assay data quality assurance and quality control including standards / blanks / umpire lab / duplicate data analysis through generation of control charts and statistics to evaluate precision and accuracy. Regular internal and external audits of QA/QC processes.

Qualifications



Post-secondary degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field 5+ years geological experience. Field experience and core logging experience an asset. 3+ years in 3D geological modeling for hard-rock deposits; underground gold experience an asset Advanced proficiency in Leapfrog Geo; experience with domaining, structural modeling, lithology modeling Strong GIS proficiency; comfort integrating spatial datasets and producing map products Demonstrated project management ability (planning, scoping, scheduling, risk/issue tracking, stakeholder updates) Working knowledge of resource-estimation workflows, data QA/QC, sampling/assay databases, and NI 43-101 reporting context Experience coordinating small technical teams; proven mentoring and coaching skills Comfort with data/automation tools (Excel, Power Query, Python considered an asset) and version control/SharePoint Effective written and verbal communication skills Experience in assay data quality assurance and quality control an asset.
