Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Lead for a High-Risk Group Home to oversee and guide a team of frontline staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, a commitment to fostering a positive work environment, and the capacity to ensure high-quality care for high-risk individuals and families. You will be responsible for maintaining direct support, developing personalized routines, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in the ongoing development and motivation of the team, driving performance to meet both individual and group objectives.

Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Supervision:

Lead and manage a team of employees, providing direction and support to ensure successful project execution. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages open communication and teamwork. Set clear goals and objectives for the group, monitoring progress and providing feedback as necessary. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project updates, address challenges, and celebrate successes. Train new team members on processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency in performance. Evaluate team performance through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to align group objectives with overall organizational goals. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Client Support:

Engage directly with high-risk individuals, providing emotional, behavioral, and physical support as needed. Develop and implement personalized routines and schedules for individuals, including cleaning, school, exercise, and personal care routines. Serve as a role model for best practices in client care and interaction, offering hands-on support in crisis situations.
Documentation and Compliance:

Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and care/healing plans. Regularly review and audit documentation to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards. Prepare weekly progress reports and monthly reports on individuals and staff for management. Enter new data into the database, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting. Regularly review database entries to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with families to develop care strategies that align with the needs of both the individual and their family. Act as a liaison between the team and management, providing regular updates on progress and challenges. Work with other departments to align group objectives with overall organizational goals.
Crisis Intervention:

Provide support in crisis situations, guiding staff through appropriate responses and de-escalation techniques. Train staff in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution to enhance the team's ability to manage challenging behaviors.
Training and Development:

Identify and address ongoing training needs for staff to ensure they are equipped to work with high-risk individuals. Train new team members on processes, procedures, and best practices to maintain consistency in client care and team performance. Coordinate and deliver relevant training sessions as needed.
Qualifications:

Required

:

Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a group home or residential setting. Strong background working with high-risk individuals, youth, and families with complex behavioral or emotional needs. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to create and implement personalized routines and schedules for individuals with varying needs. Child Intervention Check (within 6 months), Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months), and Certified First Aid with Level C CPR & AED. High School Diploma. Proficient with technology use.

Preferred

:

Post-secondary education in social work, psychology, or a related field. Certifications such as Trauma-Informed Care, Suicide Prevention, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and Conflict Resolution. Class 5 driver's license.
