ATOC 183 Climate and Climate Change (10-90h, 6-45h)
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain office hours
• Mentor and guide approximately 25 students throughout the course
• Assessment of student assignments
• Logistics for assignments (recording grades, returning assignments)

Note: If a TA plans to be absent for more than two weeks (10 working days) during a semester, s/he must resign the appointment before the semester starts. Absences of two weeks (10 working days) or less must be approved by the TA's supervisor. If the supervisor determines that the TA's absence interferes with the required TA duties, the TA would be required to resign the appointment before the semester starts.
Qualifications

• Equivalent of first-year M.Sc. program in Atmospheric & Oceanic Science
• Fluent communication (speaking and reading) in English is required
• Ability to grade assignments in French is desired.

ATOC 184 Science of Storms(3-90h,1-45h)
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain office hours
• Assist in setting midterm and final exams
• Invigilation of midterm exams
• Grading midterm and final exams
• Assist in preparing and marking of assignments
• Logistics for assignments (recording grades, returning assignments)
• Assist with current storm research for lectures

Qualifications

• Equivalent of first-year M.Sc. program in Atmospheric & Oceanic Science

ATOC 215 Oceans, Weather and Climate (2-45h)
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead a data analysis lab
• Assist in marking assignments and exams
• Maintain office hours
• Prepare and lead tutorial sessions
• Invigilation of exams
• Give occasional lecture

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Python programming language
• Knowledge of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science
• Knowledge of Rotating Fluid Dynamics

ATOC 219 Intro to Atmospheric Chemistry (2-45h)
Key Responsibilities

• Attend lectures as required and give occasional lecture
• Maintain office hours
• Keep tutorial hours
• Prepare and mark assignments
• Assist in preparing, setting, and marking midterms and final exams
• Invigilation of midterm exams
• Logistics for assignments (recording grades, returning assignments)

Qualifications

• B.Sc. degree., Enrollment in Atmospheric & Oceanic Science M.Sc. or Ph.D. graduate program.

• English, spoken and written. Ability to read French desirable.

ATOC 309 Weather Radars and Satellites (1-45h)
Key Responsibilities

• Attend lectures as required and give occasional lecture //// demonstrable knowledge in satellite and radar meteorology as used in climate or weather applications (e.g., ideally having taken ATOC309 or equivalent as approved by the instructor prior to the start of the course)
• Maintain office hours
• Keep tutorial hours
• Prepare and mark assignments
• Assist in preparing, setting, and marking midterms and final exams
• Invigilation of midterm exams
• Logistics for assignments (recording grades, returning assignments)

Qualifications
Demonstrable knowledge in satellite and radar meteorology as used in climate or weather applications (e.g., ideally having taken ATOC 309 or equivalent as approved by the instructor prior to the start of the course)
ATOC 531 Dynamics of Current Climates (1-45h)
Key Responsibilities

• Attend lectures as required and give occasional lecture
• Maintain office hours
• Mark assignments
• Logistics for assignments (recording grades, returning assignments)
• Assisting with in-class Lab Assignments
• Marking in-class Lab Assignments

• Knowledge of Climate Dynamics & Python programming language

ESYS 104 The Earth System (1-45h)
Key Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of course instructor. Prepares course material drawn from Geology, Atmospheres, Oceans, Geography and related fields. Performs grading and maintains grading records. Assists with tutoring. Performs related duties.
Qualifications
B.Sc. degree. Enrollment in M.Sc. or Ph.D. graduate program. Knowledge of the course subject and material. Must be organized and approachable. Ability to deal effectively with diverse range of people. English, spoken and written. Ability to read French desirable.
?ESYS 301 Earth System Modeling (1-45h)
Key Responsibilities

• Attend lectures as required and give occasional lecture
• Maintain office hours
• Keep tutorial hours
• Help prepare and mark assignments. Marking happens on a fixed day for quick feedback to students.
• Assist in preparing, setting, and marking midterms and final report
• Logistics for assignments (recording grades, returning assignments)

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ODE and preferably some knowledge of matlab.
• Student must be free on Wednesday afternoon for 1.5 hours to mark the Laboratory for the next day.
