Position Summary:Generating datasets for assignments, and preparing notes about these datasets. Marking assignments and preparing solutions. Assisting students with hands-on exercises during class. Introducing bioinformatics concepts in tutorials.

Qualifications:Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program within the Department of Human Genetics, or in another graduate program at McGill University, for the Winter 2026 term. A Teaching Assistant with extensive experience in bioinformatics and genomics is required. Programming skills are not necessary, but experience in genomic research and a broad knowledge of methods and algorithms behind genomic resources is required (e.g. next-generation sequencing, epigenomics, single-cell technologies).*
Effective communication skills in English are essential. French is an asset.

Instructions to the Candidate:Make sure you apply either internal or external candidate, based on your current status in at McGill and/or Workday system.
