Position Summary:Help prepare programming exercises for a graduate Population Genetics course. Together with instructor, prepare and test code, code documentation, and data. Help students in-class with programming and Population Genetics questions. Discuss assignment results with students and assess completion.

Qualifications:Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program within the Department of Human Genetics, or in another graduate program at McGill University, for the Winter 2026 term. Proficiency in python. Good knowledge of Population Genetics and Statistics. Effective communication skills in English are essential. French is an asset.

Instructions to the Candidate:Make sure you apply either internal or external candidate, based on your current status in at McGill and/or Workday system. However, if your current active position/contract with McGill is ending soon, it is best to apply as an external candidate as your access to Workday might be restricted due to contract termination.

All candidates should complete the questionnaire and upload relevant documents such as:a copy of the McGill proof of enrollment letter for Winter 2026. Updated CV including any previous TA experience in the Department of Human Genetics or within McGill University. If you are an International Student, you must hold a valid study permit covering TA contract period. Please attach a copy of your study permit.
