Kinderville Ottawa is looking for a full-time teaching assistant. with daycare experience that is willing to work with all age groups. We use play-based learning to help develop a child\xe2\x80\x99s skills and knowledge therefore you must be creative and open to new ways of teaching. We are an inclusive childcare center that respects all ethnic backgrounds. We are looking for an Educator to work in our toddler. Required Credentials: \xc2\xb7 Standard First Aid and CPR (Class C) \xc2\xb7 Vulnerable Sector Police record Check Security and Safety: \xc2\xb7 Vulnerable sector check (within the last 6 months) Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: \xc2\xb7 Work with Infants, toddlers, preschool and school-aged children \xc2\xb7 Physically demanding \xc2\xb7 Bending, crouching, kneeling Personal Suitability: \xc2\xb7 Good communication skills: to interact with the kids, your colleagues, the parents and your supervisors; \xc2\xb7 Reliability and punctuality: you must be responsible for being on time and work the hours that you are scheduled to work. \xc2\xb7 Team player: able to collaborate with colleagues, share your opinions and good practices and listen to others recommendations Specific Skills \xc2\xb7With the help of the RECE develop and implement child-care programs based on children\xe2\x80\x99s interests based on your knowledge and observations. \xc2\xb7 Help to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest. \xc2\xb7 Provide opportunities to express creativity through art, drama, music and physical activity \xc2\xb7 Guide and assist children in their development such as walking, talking, proper eating, dressing and toilet habits. You will be required to serve but not prepare lunch, change diapers and toilet train. \xc2\xb7 Write and communicate observations on the children. \xc2\xb7 Cleaning and transitions are also an important part of every day. \xc2\xb7 Experience working with Special Needs children is an asset. Work schedule The office hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. however, we are currently working COVID related reduced hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You will be expected to work 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday with a one hour lunch break The daycare is not open on Statutory Holiday Work Remotely
