Course Description:
Formation of the Earth and the evolution of life. How geological and biological change are the consequence of history, chance, and necessity acting over different scales of space and time. General principles governing the formation of modern landscapes and biotas. Effects of human activities on natural systems.  
Qualifications and Position Summary:Attend lectures.
Holds TA Office hours for students
Assist with course development (e.g., quiz questions, assignments, breakout sessions).
Grade and answer student Q/A for assignments
Grade exams in consultation with instructors
Online course management, emails
Attend regularly scheduled meetings with teaching team
Fluency in English and French sufficient to grade essays
Background in biological science (ecology, diversity, evolution) and/or earth science (geology, physical geography)
Effective communication skills
Demonstrated experience with the use of a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx]. Familiarity with MyCourses
