Job Description

Inventor STEM School is an after school center, which offers innovative enrichment programs in science, engineering, robotics, architecture, and coding for children from 3-16 years old. During the school year we also organize various activities for children, such as LEGO Birthdays, Halloween Party and Summer/Winter/Spring Break Camps! Currently we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an enthusiastic teacher\'s assistant for our upcoming Summer Camp and possibly for all our future special events! Summer Camp will run for 8 weeks: from Monday, June 26th to Friday, August 18th 2023. For this position we will be hiring both: part-time (8.00am - 12.00pm or 12.00pm - 4.00pm) and fulltime (8.00am - 4.00pm) teacher\'s assistants. Responsibilities

• Help to prepare, organize and supervise various science and STEM activities for the campers;
• Help teacher in the classroom during the Summer Break (preparing LEGO pieces, help kids with their LEGO builds, organizing small break games, etc)
• Along with the teacher supervise campers both during indoor and outdoor activities;
• Create a fun and engaging atmosphere for our students;
• Assure the security, hygiene and well-being of the campers

Parents/Enrollment: Maintain positive, effective communication with parents

• Handle inquiries from parents regarding our programs
• Encourage students and parents to enroll students in future programs
• Be able to respond to parent questions about their child\xe2\x80\x99s progress everyday

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge/Experience/Education

• Must currently live in Montreal
• Bilingual - English and French
• Passion for specific STEM topics (preferred)
• A relevant Cegep or University degree (preferred)
• Computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, e-mail)
• First aid training is an asset
• Previous experience working in camp/as a tutor is preferred
• Extra points for candidates who love LEGO, Minecraft, robotics, or programming!
