Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics and foster critical thinking skills. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, delivering instruction in a clear and effective manner, and assessing student progress to ensure a comprehensive understanding of mathematical concepts.

Duties

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Teach various mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics, ensuring clarity and comprehension. Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the mathematics curriculum and share best practices. Provide tutoring support for students needing additional assistance outside of regular class hours. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports. Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.

Skills

Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts and teaching methodologies. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas to students of varying abilities. Classroom experience with the ability to manage diverse groups of students effectively. Experience in tutoring or providing one-on-one support to enhance student understanding. Familiarity with special education practices to accommodate students with different learning needs. Laboratory experience is a plus for integrating practical applications into the curriculum. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
