What You'll Be Doing
As a
Production Assistant
, you'll play a key role in keeping our tea factory running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you'll support the preparation, packaging, and sanitation of equipment and production areas.
We're a small, growing team, which means you'll wear many hats. Some days you'll be on the production line, other days you'll be cleaning, preparing herbs, or helping with packaging. Responsibilities
Assist with production and packaging of teas and herb blends
Help operate and monitor tea bagging and packaging equipment (training provided)
Perform sanitation of equipment and production areas following cGMP and food safety standards
Complete production records and checklists with accuracy using Good Documentation Practices
Maintain cleanliness and organization in production spaces
Follow company safety, GMP, and quality policies
Support changeovers and batch preparation
Communicate issues or equipment problems to supervisors
Participate in training and cross-training opportunities to grow your skills
Pitch in with other production or warehouse duties as needed
Job Requirements
Ability to work a flexible schedule (occasional evenings or weekends during training or busy times)
Previous experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or production (1-2 years preferred but not required--training provided)
Physically able to lift 50 lbs to waist height and move barrels up to 100 lbs with assistance
Comfortable wearing protective gear (gloves, hairnets, safety glasses, masks)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Good communication skills in English
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Comfortable working around herbs, botanicals, and other raw materials
Patience and willingness to learn new skills
Skills That Are an Asset (But Not Required)
Familiarity with food safety systems (HACCP, GFSI, cGMP)
Experience operating or assisting with equipment such as FUSO or IMA tea bagging machines
Mechanical aptitude (troubleshooting, minor adjustments)
Interest in continuous improvement and problem-solving
