Department Overview:



Global Trade Finance Operations International processing hub is located in Montreal with spoke locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Houston and Singapore. We are a team of over 95 experienced professionals who offer a full range of trade products and are dedicated to providing world class service to


our customers located all over the globe.


Job Accountabilities



Expert knowledge and understanding of the Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) & Letter of Guarantee (LG) transactional life cycle in a global environment Demonstrate strong understanding of Trade Finance and sound knowledge of related ICC rules and regulations (UCP 600, ISP 98 and URDG758) Reviewing text of guarantees requested by clients and providing comments either directly to clients or relationship managers Drafting, issuing, advising and amending different types of SBLC/Guarantees and processing any other requests or correspondence regarding SBLC/ Guarantees issued or advised Releasing transactions as per volumes and requirements of the team Ensure appropriate controls are in place to minimize risk Provide technical advice to clients/partners Ensure adherence to TD internal policies and regulatory guidelines Demonstrate strong process management skills Delivering timely and efficient services as per Service Level Agreements Ensure consistency & accuracy of the process Identify potential risks and operational gaps; recommend and document resolutions Ensures due diligence is completed as part of all transactions, as per terms of the trade finance AML procedures Execute on ad-hoc requests

Job Requirements

At least three years of hands-on experience in Global trade finance operations, Guarantees department Strong understanding of the related ICC rules (ISP 98, UCP 600, URDG 758) Strong understanding of trade finance business including operating environment, business processes and transaction lifecycle Strong communication skills Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both independently and within a team Familiar with the AML requirements, an asset Bachelor Degree in Finance, International Business or other related discipline, an asset CDCS or CSDG accreditation an asset Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office an asset Requires to be available during some Canadian Statutory Holidays on rotational basis in order to cover our multiple province holidays, US & UK business This position requires minimum of 18 months commitment to the role Hybrid role currently minimum 4 days per week in the office

Le centre de traitement d'Exploitation, Financement du commerce mondial est situe a Montreal et comporte des centres de services a Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Houston et Singapour. Notre equipe de plus de 95 professionnels chevronnes offre un eventail de produits de financement et un service de calibre international a nos clients de partout dans le monde.





Responsabilites associees au poste



Posseder une connaissance et une comprehension approfondies du cycle de vie transactionnel des lettres de credit de soutien et de garantie a l'echelle mondiale Faire preuve d'une excellente comprehension de Financement du commerce mondial et d'une connaissance approfondie des pratiques et des regles de la Chambre de commerce internationale (CCI) qui s'appliquent au secteur d'activite (UCP 600, ISP 98 et URDG 758). Passer en revue le texte des garanties bancaires demandees par les clients et donner ses commentaires directement aux clients ou aux directeurs des relations-clients. Faire l'ebauche de differents types de garanties, les emettre et les modifier; aviser les beneficiaires d'une garantie; traiter toutes autres demandes ou correspondances relatives aux garanties emises ou notifiees. Relacher les transactions selon les volumes du departement Verifier que les controles appropries sont en place pour minimiser le risque. Fournir des conseils techniques aux clients et aux partenaires. Veiller au respect des politiques et des directives reglementaires internes de la TD. Faire preuve de solides aptitudes en gestion des processus. Offrir des services de facon rapide et efficace, conformement aux ententes de niveau de service. Assurer l'uniformite et l'exactitude du processus. Cerner les risques potentiels et les lacunes operationnelles; recommander des solutions et les consigner. Veiller a ce qu'une diligence raisonnable soit exercee pour toutes les operations, conformement aux procedures de lutte contre le blanchiment d'argent (LCBA) en matiere de financement du commerce. Traiter les demandes ponctuelles.

Exigences du poste

Au moins trois ans d'experience pratique au sein de l'equipe responsable des garanties du service Exploitation, Financement du commerce mondial. Excellente comprehension des pratiques et des regles de la Chambre de commerce internationale (CCI) qui s'appliquent au secteur d'activite (UCP 600, ISP 98 et URDG 758). Connaissance approfondie de Financement du commerce mondial, y compris du contexte operationnel, des processus d'affaires et du cycle de vie des operations. Excellentes aptitudes en communication, un atout. Capacite demontree a travailler efficacement dans un milieu dynamique. Aptitude eprouvee pour le travail individuel et en equipe. Bonne connaissance des procedures et des exigences relatives a la LCBA, un atout. Baccalaureat en finance, en affaires internationales ou dans un domaine connexe, un atout. Titre de CDCS ou CSDG , un atout. Excellente connaissance de Microsoft Office, un atout. Necessite d'etre disponible pendant certains jours feries canadiens en rotation afin de couvrir nos activites a travers les differentes provinces du Canada, les clients aux Etats-Unis et au Royaume-Uni Ce poste necessite un minimum de 18 mois d'engagement dans le role Role hybride actuellement minimum 4 jours par semaine au bureau
