In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working in a temporary, full-time position of
Traffic Controller and Labourer
reporting to the Road Foreman. We are currently hiring in
Stewart, B.C.
and may require some travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Must prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the job
Work collaboratively with all team members to successfully complete tasks at hand.
Ability to perform unskilled manual work requiring little previous training or experience but involving physical effort.
Operate heavy equipment in all weather conditions, on public roadways in a safe and appropriate manner
Follow direction of the Supervisor regarding daily production schedule and activities
Maintains a daily activity of work in progress and status of completion
Maintain proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment
Complete all work reports and maintenance logs
Stop, slow, and safely direct traffic through work or construction sites
Give traffic control directions and signals clearly and precisely so that motorists understand their meaning
Keep the flow of traffic moving with as few delays as possible
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum two (2) years of road maintenance and/or construction experience
Valid Class 1 preferred, or 3 Drivers license is required
Two (2) years commercial driving experience is an asset
BCCSA Traffic Control Ticket
Experience in snow removal is considered an asset
Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements
Heavy Equipment Operating Certificate an asset
Able to manage electronic reporting using tablets
Minor equipment maintenance
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to work shift work
