Taza is a large scale, multi-phase development of three unique new villages that are situated within the Tsuut\xe2\x80\x99ina Nation and form a border with southwest Calgary. The total build-out is anticipated to encompass 19 million square feet of retail, office, hospitality and mixed-use residential, and will be constructed over the next 25+ years. Reports to: Design, Director

Summary:
As the Architectural Technologist you will play a crucial role in the realization of our architectural designs, ensuring that they are translated into constructible and cost-effective solutions. The Architectural Technologist will work with internal and external stakeholders to to ensure accurate and precise documentation throughout the design and construction phases, with a focus on conceptual site and property boundary layouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design teams to contribute to the development and refinement of project designs.
  • Create conceptual site layouts that consider factors such as site topography, landscaping, and spatial relationships.
  • Generate precise property boundary layouts in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that property boundaries are accurately represented in all project documentation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance in all architectural designs.
  • Provide technical support and expertise in the resolution of design challenges and construction issues.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and integration of architectural designs into overall project plans.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute valuable insights to enhance project outcomes.
  • Conduct regular reviews and quality checks to ensure that designs and drawings meet the highest standards and align with the company\'s vision and goals.
  • Embrace and leverage emerging technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of architectural design processes.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles into architectural plans, with a focus on energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) working as an Architectural Technologist in a Real Estate Development or architectural firm.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
