About the Role
We need a seasoned professional to manage all aspects of our clients' financial needs. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in:
Preparing and filing personal, corporate, and trust returns.
Expertly managing communications with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
A solid understanding of bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and payroll.
Core Responsibilities
As our new tax professional, you will manage and interpret financial data to help our clients maintain and grow their financial health. Your main responsibilities include:
Managing Financial Records:
Accurately recording, classifying, and summarizing all financial transactions.
Preparing Financial Statements:
Creating essential reports like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reconciling Accounts:
Regularly reconciling bank and credit card statements to ensure everything is accurate.
Filing Tax Returns:
Ensuring timely and accurate filing of personal and corporate tax returns, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
Analyzing Data:
Providing clients with valuable insights by analyzing financial data to spot trends and assess performance.
Ensuring Compliance:
Verifying that all financial activities follow relevant accounting standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
Communicating with Clients:
Clearly and professionally explaining financial information to clients.
Using Accounting Software:
Effectively using various accounting software and systems, including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage, and other tax software.
