Tax Preparer

Duties

Prepare and review individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software to organize and analyze financial data Conduct analysis of financial statements and concepts to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations Assist clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and other accounting needs using technical accounting skills Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and explaining tax-related information clearly Support marketing efforts to attract new clients and retain existing ones through effective communication of services offered Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices Perform data entry tasks including 10 key typing to ensure precise record keeping

Qualifications

Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related fields such as bookkeeping accounting Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools Strong understanding of financial concepts, analysis skills, and technical accounting principles Excellent math skills and experience with 10 key typing for accurate data entry Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to clients Experience in sales or marketing is a plus for client engagement efforts Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional attitude Knowledge of financial sales strategies is advantageous but not required Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines efficiently
