The Tax Preparer will utilize various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero, to facilitate accurate reporting and filing.

Duties

Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. Conduct thorough analysis of financial documents to ensure accuracy in tax preparation. Review clients' financial records, including accounts payable, account reconciliation, and payroll information. Provide guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities. Assist clients with audits by preparing necessary documentation and representing them before tax authorities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other tools for efficient bookkeeping. Collaborate with clients to gather required financial information for accurate tax filings. Support budgeting and investment planning efforts as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in tax preparation or a related field within financial services. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Knowledge of auditing processes and compliance requirements. Familiarity with bookkeeping practices and principles. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
