Income Tax Preparer

Saint John, NB

We're looking for a temporary Full Time Income Tax Preparer to join our tax department from February 2026 - April 2026 to prepare for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, sole proprietors, investors, and self-employed professionals. This temporary position will work Monday to Friday, and should be flexible to work some evenings and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

Consulting with clients to ensure the accuracy and completeness of their personal information Ensuring that all necessary receipts and supporting documents have been provided Reviewing tax returns from previous years to identify any missing or incomplete information or documentation Completing current year's tax returns and ensuring they are accurate and in compliance with relevant guidelines

The ideal candidate will have a certificate in a related field plus have 1-3 years industry experience including:

Advanced knowledge of personal income tax laws Advanced knowledge and understanding of recent changes in tax law Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to interpret and apply income tax rules and regulations Proficient written and verbal communication skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
