Tax Law Paralegal

YOUR ROLE

As a Tax Law Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:

Draft and prepare various legal documents and file them with the appropriate tax authorities;
Open tax accounts online with clients on CRA and RQ;
Draft several requests to the tax authorities as well as their telephone follow-ups;
Follow-up with clients on the status of their requests;
Contact tax authorities to obtain information on assessments and prepare various tax forms;
Contact tax authorities to obtain information on assessments and prepare various tax forms;
Provide support to tax lawyers and partners;
Update corporate records.

PREREQUISITES

Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in paralegal technology or any other equivalent training/experience;
Experience in a similar role;
Good knowledge of the functions of the MS Office Suite;
Knowledge of Enact or Athennian software is an asset;
Strong research skills and good analytical skills;
Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
Good organizational skills and good management of priorities;
Meticulousness, autonomy, and ability to manage stress.
