Description :Tax AccountantVernon, British ColumbiaOur Tax Accountant provides our business with tax compliance reporting and tax provision preparation for financial statement purposes. The Tax Accountant will also provide support with tax planning and the overall tax strategy. Our head office houses Tolkos corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• Certified Professional Accounting Designation.
• 2+ years of related experience and or in progress with the CPA advanced Tax courses.

• Tax accounting provisions;
• Corporate tax (in a CCPC environment an asset);
• Indirect tax;
• Transfer pricing;
• Tax planning.
• Exposure to US and International tax an asset.

• Work with external tax advisors to prepare tax compliance filings including Canadian and US federal, state/provincial, local, sales, SR&ED and foreign reporting returns.
• Prepare income tax provision for financial reporting purposes and assist with external audit of financial statements.
• Coordinate tax remittances.
• Assist with tax authority audits and dispute resolution.
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation and requirements.
• Assist with tax planning and efficient financing and structures.
• Support finance team with implementation of new tax legislation or changes that impact financial and tax reporting requirements.
• Research and prepare documentation on tax issues.
