Manage

Ensure adherence to

as set by the PEI Department of Health and Wellness.
Coordinate between
front-of-house

kitchen
, and
brewery teams
to ensure smooth service and consistent quality.
2. Staff Management
Recruit, train, and supervise bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, and brewers.
Schedule staff shifts in compliance with PEI
Employment Standards Act
(e.g., hours, breaks, overtime).
Conduct performance reviews and foster a positive, team-oriented environment.
Implement and enforce workplace safety practices in accordance with
Workers Compensation Board of PEI
regulations.
3. Customer Experience
Ensure a
welcoming, friendly atmosphere
and consistent, high-quality service.
Handle customer feedback, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
Develop and promote a
locally focused menu and beer selection
that highlights the brand's identity.
Oversee events such as tastings, live music nights, or brewery tours.
4. Financial Management
Manage budgets, sales reports, and profit-and-loss tracking.
Analyze financial performance and identify cost-saving or revenue-boosting opportunities.
Oversee cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and banking procedures.
Work with accountants or owners to prepare financial statements and forecasts.
5. Marketing & Community Engagement
Develop and execute
marketing campaigns
(social media, local partnerships, events).
Engage with the local community -- e.g., sponsoring local events or collaborating with nearby producers.
Promote responsible alcohol consumption in compliance with PEILCC guidelines.
6. Compliance & Licensing
Ensure all required licenses and permits (liquor, food service, patio, entertainment, etc.) are valid and up to date.
Maintain staff certifications such as
Responsible Beverage Server
training.
Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with
health inspections
and
fire safety codes
.
7. Product & Quality Control
Collaborate with the brewmaster to plan and schedule beer production.
Maintain high standards for product quality, consistency, and presentation.
Oversee proper storage and maintenance of brewing and dispensing equipment.
Track and analyze beer sales trends to guide production and marketing.
8. Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities
Contribute to business development and growth strategies.
Innovate new ideas for customer engagement, sustainability, and product offerings.
Report regularly to ownership or regional management on operations, finances, and staff performance.
