Proterra Energy Solutions specialize in the cleaning of above ground storage tanks, vessels, bullets, and towers for various companies in the Oil & Gas Industry throughout Western Canada. We can provide a ‘Full, All Inclusive’ service which comes with our extensive management experience, state of the art equipment and highly skilled work force. We are looking for individuals who local to the Edmonton area.

Duties

• Participate in all daily toolboxes and safety meetings
• Work inside rail car tanks to scrape and clean, while wearing supplied breathing air apparatus
• Operate wash wands
• Filling a holding tank with water
• Monitoring the pumping system
• Moving cleaning device from 1 railcar to another (less than 50lbs)
• Testing atmosphere
• Setting up and connecting hoses
• Job may require worker to work at heights
• Operating equipment under supervision (i.e., telehandler, skid-steer, AWP, etc.)
  
• Driving a company vehicle (if approved)
• Picking up tools and equipment from suppliers or rental shops off site
• Safely operating powered equipment (compressors, generators etc.) under supervision
• Safety watch for worker inside confined space
• Changing out filter bags as required
  
• Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures and always acting in a safe manner
• Install equipment on new tanks and tanks that are being refurbished
• Preform general duties required to complete work, such as derbies removal, clean up, set up, etc.
• Complete basic equipment and tool maintenance, including basic repairs
• This position can be physically demanding

Safety certification requirements (safety certification and training can be provided to successful applicants)

• H2S alive
• Confined space entry and monitor or rescue
• CSTS 2020/WHMIS 2015
• Common safety orientation
  
• Fall protection
• Standard first aid (an asset)
• Zoom boom (an asset)
• Classified drivers license
• CSA steel toed boots required. All other PPE is provided.

• 5 & 2 shift / 5 month duration
• Punctual attendance is a requirement
• Comply with all safety requirements
• Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Must provide proof of completion of all required safety certifications
• Bring a positive, ‘can-do’, ‘safety first’ attitude every day
• Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment.
