Job Summary:


We are seeking a licensed and experienced Tandem Driver to operate our snow removal equipment during Winnipeg winter operations. You will be responsible for safely operating tandem trucks with plows and salt/sand spreaders to clear parking lots and roadways throughout the city. This position transitions to our landscaping division during summer months, operating dump trucks and equipment to support our construction and maintenance projects across Manitoba.

Key Responsibilities:



Safely operate tandem axle trucks equipped with snow plows and spreaders on Winnipeg roads Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Manitoba regulations Plow and de-ice commercial and residential properties throughout the Winnipeg area Monitor Winnipeg weather conditions and respond to snow events as directed Maintain accurate logs and documentation meeting Manitoba requirements Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors Transition to summer operations including: Operating dump trucks for landscaping materials across Manitoba Hauling equipment and materials to job sites throughout Winnipeg Supporting landscape construction projects

Requirements & Qualifications:



Valid Manitoba Class 1 or 3 license with clean abstract (mandatory)

Air Brake Endorsement required

Minimum 2 years experience operating tandem trucks Experience with snow plowing and salting operations in Winnipeg conditions Must be available for early mornings, late nights, and weekends during Winnipeg snow events Ability to work in extreme Manitoba winter conditions Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and Manitoba safety protocols Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills
