Situated in the heart of downtown Toronto, our department is affiliated with various departments, institutes and research organizations, providing a broad network for our staff and students.Your opportunity:The TAME Project assistant will be part of the Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Physics group within the Department of Physics at the University of Toronto. The project involves researchers in the Department of Physics and Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto who have a new NSERC Alliance project entitled \xe2\x80\x9cThe Toronto Atmospheric Monitoring of Emissions (TAME): Evaluating progress and co-benefits while avoiding pitfalls on the way to net zero\xe2\x80\x9d. This project involves collaboration between the University of Toronto, York University, Environment and Climate Change Canada, The Atmospheric Fund, Kindred Works, Inc., Hammerschlag & Joffe, Inc., and KPMB Architects. This position provides direct technical and operational support to the data collection program.This is a term position that will end approximately in October 2024 with the possibility of renewal.Your responsibilities will include:
