Communitech is a hybrid organization headquartered in downtown Kitchener, Ontario. In-person connection is important to us, so we get together regularly for special events, collaboration days and team socials, and we ask our team members to work onsite from our Kitchener facility for a minimum of 60 hours per month, every Tuesday being our team-wide in person collaboration day.

We are looking for a Talent Operations Specialist to support the Talent Team with operations and execution of all talent programs. This is a role that requires someone who is an independent self-starter, who enjoys supporting the operations of a variety of talent-related initiatives.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

National Job Board (Operations and company liaison)

Managing new company applications and related correspondence

Escalating complaints to the right people and highlighting any risks

Manage shared Work In Tech inbox, ensuring all inquiries are addressed within 24 hours

Work with Data team to discuss ways to optimize data collection

Vendor management - work with vendor on system and process improvements, software updates and brand

Lead new projects and initiatives related to job board expansion efforts

Talent Events (Event support and production)

Lead on all event logistics & production tasks

Organize meetings, set and send agenda in advance, ensuring the right people are present

Participate in weekly syncs with Marketing, document action items and follow up as required

Self-directed training of virtual meeting platform in order to learn the Producer role and be able to be the primary producer on the day of the event

Assist with planning for use of the platform and ways of engaging the audience to create a unique participant experience

Compensation program management and vendor relationship management

Program Support and operations, main point of contact

Marketing obligations via CTech channels ahead of survey releases

Negotiations on discounts for our members

Learn the system and train on how to pull reports.

Develop documentation and plan \xe2\x80\x9cTrain the Trainer\xe2\x80\x9d sessions (train the FSMs) including materials required for an engaging and impactful session

Lead the development of \xe2\x80\x9ccheat sheets\xe2\x80\x9d for companies on how to access the data, including short explainer video clips.

Update and maintain the Communitech salary survey page with information on vendor options, how to access, what the differences are and when to leverage each option.

Talent Operations

Respond to all inquiries within 24 hours that come through Talent Inbox

Maintain a reference document for the team with suggested responses to common inquiries and internal contacts for forwarding inquiries

Capture and summarize key action items during Team Meetings

Maintenance of Team Meetings document

Liaison for school and student inquiries

Other duties as assigned. All duties subject to change.

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Seeking

3+ years experience in coordinator roles, preferably in talent or recruitment operations

You like research and have the ability to identify and act on emerging trends in talent acquisition

You are a self-starter, calm in a storm and can multi-task and organize activities against rapidly changing priorities. A demonstrated ability to work independently through ambiguity with a problem solving mindset

You\xe2\x80\x99re a relationship builder with strong collaboration skills

You are comfortable networking and promoting our programs and events within the community

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to demonstrate superior judgment in a constantly changing landscape

Ability to work collegially and constructively with a wide variety of stakeholders

Strong ability to communicate with clarity in both written and verbal modalities
