Reporting to the Assistant Director, Talent & Culture, the Talent Acquisition/T&C Advisor is a fantastic opportunity to further develop competencies and learning in many areas and functions within human resources. Be part of a strategic HR team focused on driving successful business results through people.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Welcome Heartists who visit Talent & Culture for general inquiries and offering support as needed;
  • Coordinate full cycle recruitment from requisition to candidate onboarding;
  • Maintain the high standards during the recruitment and selection process;
  • Review resumes and assessments from Talent Acquisition System and all internet sites on a daily basis;
  • Administers Talent Acquisition System; ensures all requisitions are entered in a timely manner, updates all jobs description both external/internal on websites, ensures postings are correct and accurate;
  • Liaise with departmental recruiters in support of the recruitment process and to plan their recruitment needs;
  • Assist departments with conducting reference checks when needed;
  • Handle criminal background check forms;
  • Create offer letters for colleague and leadership positions;
  • Open paper file of new Colleagues, prepare action forms, take photos of new Colleagues, prepare ID cards & name tags;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with leading Hotel schools, participate in on-campus recruitment;
  • Handle Co-Op student requests and coordinate their placements with Department Heads;
  • Provide administrative support to the Talent & Culture Office (employee action forms tracking, daily mail, general inquiries by telephone or email, letters of employment, stationary orders, etc.)
  • Respond to varied colleague inquiries in a professional, friendly and timely manner;
  • Conduct the termination process and paperwork;
  • Organize and participate in internal activities (children\xe2\x80\x99s Christmas party, annual recognition event, long service awards, monthly recognition lunch, etc.);
  • Assist the Talent & Culture team in other tasks as assigned;
  • Follow all safety policies;
  • Other duties as assigned;
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in HR and administrative work required;
  • Diploma/Degree in Administration, Hospitality or Human Resources Management an asset;
  • Fluent in both official languages;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and other office programs at an advanced level is required;
  • Must thrive on being busy and be able to remain focused and calm in an often hectic office environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team;
  • Proven ability to maintain professionalism in a highly confidential environment and to deal with all colleagues with tact, diplomacy and warmth;
  • Demonstrate patience and empathy;
