JOB TITLE: Talent Acquisition Specialist (FT/Permanent)
JOB SALARY:
$64,000-$107,000 + Bonus
JOB LOCATION: Canada (remote-based)
REPORTS TO: Manager, HR

JOB SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting global full-cycle talent acquisition for the Alimentiv Holdings Companies. The Talent Acquisition Specialist interfaces with a wide variety of stakeholders including: HR, people leaders, candidates, vendors, and partner organizations. In addition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist contributes to the creation of selection materials, employer branding, onboarding, and special HR projects as required.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Workforce Planning & Talent Management
Talent Acquisition

  • Conduct high-volume full cycle talent acquisition including job qualifying, posting, sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
  • Negotiate employment offers ensuring compliance with Alimentiv\xe2\x80\x99s starting salary practices and pay equity.
  • Coordinate with the HR Generalists and/or the HR Coordinator(s) to create employment agreements and facilitate references and background check verifications; Ensure candidates meet minimum qualifications for the role.
  • Maintain knowledge of legislation that affects global talent acquisition practices; Monitor regulatory adherence of HR policies and programs and contribute to new policy development.
  • Apply industry-leading techniques to source/engage passive and active candidates for current and future job openings at Alimentiv; Create/maintain a pipeline of available talent for key opportunities.
  • Champion a positive candidate experience for internal and external job applicants.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with employment-focused community organizations to attract diverse talent.
  • Participate in various talent acquisition events including (but not limited to): professional and academic career fairs, networking, industry, and community events.
  • Liaise with various talent acquisition vendors including recruitment agencies, and marketing/social media partners.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert providing talent acquisition advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor global talent subsidy/grant opportunities; Facilitate applications with relevant authorities; Track and report on successful applications.
  • Champion the internal Employee Referral Program including promotion, tracking, and reporting.
  • Lead the Early (Campus) Recruitment Program for assigned region(s); Partner with internal stakeholders to identify academic programs & institutions suited to Alimentiv\xe2\x80\x99s talent needs.
  • In conjunction with the MHR and hiring managers, create industry-supported, role-specific selection materials.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate interview notes and status information in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date talent-tracking information; Support talent reporting.
  • Monitor and report market intelligence developments that could impact talent acquisition at Alimentiv.
  • Maintain awareness of new talent acquisition technology solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in talent acquisition processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Support contingent resourcing as required.

Employer Branding
  • In conjunction with the MHR, contribute to employer branding strategy, create/recommend content, and ensure alignment to Alimentiv\xe2\x80\x99s marketing guidelines.
  • Identify potential changes that would make the organization more attractive to prospective employees.

Onboarding
  • Participate in New Employee Orientations

Special Projects
  • Support other HR projects/duties as assigned.

Professional Practice
  • Act with integrity and balance the interest of all parties in carrying out HR activities; Model ethical practices for staff.
  • Adhere to HR legal requirements in carrying out all HR activities; keep current on changes to the laws that govern HR practices.
  • Maintain awareness of broad economic, societal, technological, political, global, and demographic trends; Evaluate the credibility of sources of information.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree and 1-3 years of talent acquisition experience (preferably focused in life sciences, healthcare, or professional services). In addition, the ideal candidate will have highly refined verbal/written communication skills, time management skills, and knowledge of project management concepts. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be comfortable working in a competitive, fast-paced, high-volume environment and be passionate about the potential of people.
