The Role: We are seeking two (2) Talent Acquisition Specialists / Recruiters to join our team.

Location: Windsor, ON or Ottawa, ON. We offer full time in-office and hybrid flexibility.

Position Overview:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter, you will bring our purpose to life every day. How? By executing on out talent strategy at Hub Customer Central (HCC) and operationalizing the strategy to bring great ideas to life.

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will manage a specialized or specific technical level of job openings, requiring good knowledge and expertise to support the recruitment process, activities, and achievements. You will partner with client groups on a distinct range of recruitment needs of critical importance to the business.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter will:

  • Work with hiring leaders and the HR team to deliver full cycle recruitment including developing and deploying proactive sourcing and selection strategies to ensure HCC is hiring the best talent based on knowledge, skills, experiences, and alignment to our culture.
  • Recruit for specialized and/or technical positions at an individual contributor and management level, using multi-pronged sourcing strategies to meet hiring needs, through constant and ongoing participation in professional organizations and affiliations, networking, and cold calling.
  • Create a constantly updated recruiting pipeline of specialized candidates, including a diverse pool, for their areas of recruiting.
  • Assist with the design and development of behavioral interviewing techniques, guides, and other services for those involved in staffing.
  • Identify and recommend newest trends and tools available in recruiting technology to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the recruiting process.
  • Assist with building diverse teams, and partner with the business to prioritize diverse representation through their work.
To be successful as a Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter, you will need:
  • 2+ years experience in talent acquisition in the financial sector/insurance industry across Canada.
  • Experience within a staffing agency and/or corporate recruiting environment and/ or a customer contact centre environment.
  • Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Workday, and online job board such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Experience with internet sourcing/advertising, direct sourcing, trade journal/newspaper advertising, employee referral campaigns, and job fairs
  • University degree, college diploma, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies that build the candidate pipeline and guide the recruitment process to closure.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility, collaborate with and influence hiring leaders while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and candidates.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills to present alternative solutions and minimize high-risk situations.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High sense of urgency with strong orientation towards customer support.
  • Ability to work with tight timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Understanding the dynamics of a matrix organization.
  • Strong MS Office Skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
  • Bilingual French/English considered an asset.
