This person should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changes in the workplace. Communication is also key as a priority of our company is listening to customers' needs and wants to provide the remarkable service we are known for in the past 50 years.

Andrew's Formals is looking for

1 tailor

to fulfill their high demand in services all across the GTA. Given the distinctiveness of the company, we are able to specialize in each section of the company by bringing candidates that can become experts in any field they choose to work in. Each position offers room for growth and the ability to learn new exciting projects especially on menswear. Every candidate is required to learn the fundamentals and required safety measures before being advanced into the field of their choice.

Job Requirements:

Sewing experience Ability to operate sewing machines and/or sew by hand Make made-to-measure garments according to customer specifications (includes take ins, let outs, shortens, lengthens, sewing hems, fixing tears, mending zippers, applying buttons and etc.) Ability to measure, alter, and repair garments on house quickly and accurately Experience with tuxedos and suits is desirable but not required Strong communication skills and good understanding of the English language (willing to work with candidates if the candidate's English isn't fluent). Eye for detail such as the ability to distinguish between colours Retail experience is an asset Technical design diploma or equivalent is an asset (life skills and sewing experience (especially in men's and/or women's apparel but preferred men's)) Have a flexible schedule

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
