The ideal candidate is not only proficient in Taekwondo techniques and philosophy but also has a strong ability to mentor and inspire young students.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruct Taekwondo Classes
- Teach students of varying skill levels, focusing on forms (poomsae), sparring, self-defense, and discipline.
Character Development
- Instill core values such as respect, perseverance, discipline, and confidence in students.
Class Management
- Maintain a structured, engaging, and safe learning environment.
Curriculum Implementation
- Follow and enhance the existing curriculum to ensure student progression.
Testing & Evaluations
- Assess students' skills and readiness for belt promotions.
Mentorship
- Serve as a role model and mentor for young students, helping them grow physically and mentally.
Parent Communication
- Provide feedback to parents regarding their child's progress and development.
Safety & Facility Maintenance
- Ensure a clean and safe training environment.
Community Engagement
- Represent the school at events, demonstrations, and tournaments as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Certified Black Belt in Taekwondo (preferably Kukkiwon-certified).
Previous teaching experience in Taekwondo or martial arts (preferred but not required).
Strong communication and leadership skills, especially with children.
Ability to engage and motivate students in a positive and encouraging manner.
CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Background check required.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience working with children in an educational or athletic setting.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Experience in organizing tournaments, camps, or special events.
