Salary Range:
$59,711 to $109,520 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement)

Immediately, until November 28, 2025 (or return of the teacher)

Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience:
Extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching in all areas of this
assignment.Knowledge of, and demonstrated application of, the Ministry of Education's current philosophy, teaching
practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment.Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement teaching practices that align with the Professional
Standards for BC Educators.proven ability to create hands-on, cross-curricular learning environments and activities that support engagement and motivation
demonstrated ability to devise and use a variety of assessment processes that effectively allow students to demonstrate their learning
ability to design lessons for a strong commitment to literacy development that promotes the ability to understand, critically analyze, and create a variety of forms of communication including oral, written, digital and multimedia
ability to design lesson and unit plans that focus on deep understanding and application of knowledge
ability and commitment to indigenizing curriculum
demonstrated commitment to the use of technology to enhance effective instructional practices
experience creating a personalized learning environment in which individual learning needs are understood and lesson planning is differentiated to support the various needs of the students
demonstrated commitment to the use of results to improve the teaching/learning process
demonstrated ability to effectively address a wide range of academic social, emotional and behavioural needs of students
demonstrated sensitivity, awareness and understanding of adolescent development and enthusiasm for developing positive relationships to motivate young adults to achieve at a high level, and to inspire confidence and self-worth
