Job Description

The Systems Quality Coordinator is the BSCGP onsite Systems Quality representative for the observation of Supply, installation, and subcontractor construction activities, progress, and its compliance to project quality requirements. The incumbent will coordinate with systems quality inspection to ensure that the requirements and deficiencies are monitored to closure. This position is responsible for understanding installation plans and specifications, quality assurance, project documentation, construction site safety, and schedule alignment. This position is also responsible for documenting the progress of installation, documentation process and templates and implementing industry best practices.

Responsibilities:



Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment's and construction/installation activities on site. Follow-up on documents, field reports, observations, discrepancies and testing failures to the Systems Team and Quality team. Ability to review design and installation specification to understand the systems design and construction requirements of product. Review design, subcontractor submittal, and sub contractor's quality control records and documentation for systems requirements validation and interface sign off. Coordinator and ensure technical information, schedules, and construction information are provided and communicated to both systems design and construction team during construction, Testing and Commission stage. Supports systems construction team daily activity with material receiving, observations of installations with regard to quality, the quantity of materials, installation methods used, conformity to specifications and industry standards, schedule conformance and contract documents. Document inspection finding and completing detailed report and performance records. Generates and compiles daily field quality inspection and observation reports, maintain completed set of the systems inspection and validation record. Noncompliance and deficiency reporting. Observe and documents standards of performance testing procedures for adherence to the design and specification requirements. Supports all types of testing methods and maintains high-quality standards for all processes. Attends meetings including but not limited to design, pre-construction, periodic construction progress, pre-installation, commissioning, punch list and closeout meetings. Confers with quality, engineers, and field representatives regarding issues or discrepancies. Assist and provided input for site specific readiness review and ensure PICO Post Installation Check-Out of installed work are completed and in compliance. Coordinate, provided notification and participates in final inspections with designers and contractors to document any discrepancies. Provide training and refresher to systems construction team and subcontractor for Quality requirements and quality process/ procedures for project QMS requirements. Perform other duties as assign by systems quality Manager and/ or System Quality Lead.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



Ability to read drawings and blueprints Knowledge of AutoCAD Thorough understanding of quality control and quality assurance standards and testing techniques The ability to use specialized tools and machinery for inspection and testing Excellent communication skills Keen eye for details, thoroughness and accuracy while performing a task Problem- solving mentality and results- driven approach Analytical skills

Experience/Qualifications:



2+ years of Quality inspector/Coordinator experience in the system of railway infrastructure, mechanical and electrical integrity programs and inspection of operating facilities is considered assets. Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical diploma combination with equivalent field experience, preferable electrical. Knowledge of quality control / quality assurance programs applicable to work. Ability to determine acceptability and rejectable work based on assigned criteria. Familiarity with codes and standards applicable to specific railway infrastructure activity. The ability to write detailed reports and demonstrate the computer skills necessary to access research and document results in the electronic medium are expected. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. The candidate is also expected to be willing to travel as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
