Job Description

Duties

Design, develop, and implement scalable system architectures utilizing Service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and system design principles. Manage and optimize IT infrastructure including operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization platforms (VMware, ESXi), and cloud services (AWS, Azure). Develop and maintain APIs, RESTful services, web services, and integrations using technologies such as SOAP, JSON, XML, and REST. Conduct system hardening, vulnerability assessments, threat intelligence analysis, and implement security measures including cloud security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, GPOs, DNS configurations, and load balancing solutions. Oversee system administration tasks such as DHCP management, system monitoring with Nagios or similar tools, and configuration management using GPOs and scripting languages like Bash or Shell Scripting. Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools; manage source control with Git. Collaborate on solution architecture involving Salesforce, Pegasystems, Oracle databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB. Support application development with programming languages including JavaScript, C#, Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, C++, VBA, and .NET frameworks. Perform system testing, debugging, troubleshooting hardware/software issues; ensure system reliability through proactive monitoring and performance tuning. Participate in SDLC processes following Agile methodologies; contribute to documentation of system architecture diagrams using tools like Simulink or UML modeling. Lead projects related to virtualization (Hyper-V), container orchestration (Kubernetes), DevOps practices, and system security enhancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; advanced certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP). Proven experience in systems engineering with expertise in operating systems (Windows/Linux), network protocols (TCP/IP,DNS), computer networking concepts including VLANs and VPNs. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi or Hyper-V. Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git workflows; familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell. Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles including threat management, vulnerability assessment & system hardening practices. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/React Express for API development; experience with microservices architecture is a plus. Knowledge of database management systems including SQL Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL; familiarity with NoSQL databases is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues across hardware/software layers. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and document technical solutions clearly.
