About NordSpace
NordSpace (https://nordspace.com (https://nordspace.com/)) is a Canadian startup with the mission to advance life on Earth, from space. NordSpace is committed to extremely rapid innovation and development of only the most ambitious aerospace projects with only the most ambitious team Canada has to offer. With divisions of rocket propulsion, autonomous robotics, satellite integration, and stratospheric balloons, NordSpace is driven to do everything it takes to bring space closer to Earth and inspire generations of space explorers.
As a Turbomachinery Systems Engineer at NordSpace, you will be working towards developing Canada's first orbital class launch vehicle, to be launched from Canada as well. A first on countless fronts, and sure to inspire the country and generations of scientists and engineers. Your work will involve a tremendous amount of scoping, research, design, and prototyping of proprietary turbo pumps for our staged combustion liquid rocket engine with an intense focus on rapid iteration and testing while maintaining a high degree of safety. The specifics and constraints will be discussed privately. You will build the foundations for this critical division of NordSpace in your first year and also participate in the recruitment of additional engineers. This role requires someone with vision, leadership, and a relentless work ethic that goes far beyond the norm.
