In this key role, we'll look to you to ensure operational excellence in the way we deliver enterprise storage and backup solutions within Managed Services. What you'll do
Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in customer environments
  • Communicate with customers, teammates, and management
  • Provide thorough ticket updates
  • Coordinate with vendors to repair or replace hardware
  • Monitor customer environments and infrastructure
  • Respond to alerts and action or escalate as required
Operations
  • Follow ITIL practices regarding incident, problem and change management
  • Perform administration on storage arrays and backup systems
  • Document and update technical procedures, administrative processes, configuration management database
  • Work within revision control for tool or script development
  • Contribute towards the development of automation
  • Complete quarterly and annual test restores
Provisioning
  • Deploy new services and environments for customers and internal systems
  • Create, update and maintain customer build documents and runbooks
  • Help research, develop and implement new services, tools and software
What you need to succeed
Must-have
  • Associate or higher Degree from a recognized college or university, preferred in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, or a related field. Qualifying experience and/or technical certification (e.g. MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, RHCE, etc.) may substitute for the required education
  • 5+ years' experience of infrastructure management including a focus on customer service and complex technical assistance for storage, backup, virtualization and cloud infrastructure environments
  • 5+ years' experience working for managed services provider, handling multiple customers complex requirements.
  • 5+ years' experience with storage administration on NetApp, PureStorage, EMC, Dell, IBM or other enterprise class storage arrays including experience with fiber channel networking
  • 5+ years' experience with backup and replication t technologies including Commvault, Commvault Metallic, ASR, Zerto, Veeam, Networker
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects, meet deadlines, facilitate change and delegate responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers, and coworkers
  • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to find solutions while working independently
Nice to have
  • Bilingual - English/French
  • Certification is Storage technologies such as NetApp NCDA, Dell/EMC DSC/DCE certification in storage , Pure Storage Professional or Expert, or other relevant storage certification.
  • Experience with ticketing and monitoring systems
  • Experience with Linux administration (RHEL or CentOS) and windows administration (Server 2016 /2019)
  • Experience with Dell / HP / Cisco servers and VMware or Hyper-V virtualization
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing and administrative experience with Azure and AWS
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytics skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • After-hours availability
  • On-call rotation availability
  • Short distance travel required for Datacenter access.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
