What You Would Do in This Role

System Integration Project Specialist

plays a vital role in supporting the success of the System Integration (SI) team. This position enhances team effectiveness by coordinating the technical, administrative, and financial details of projects, enabling engineers and technical specialists to focus on exceptional service delivery and technical excellence.


The SIPC supports project execution through estimation, scheduling, change management, risk mitigation, progress reporting, and interdepartmental coordination. The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of project direction, priorities, and schedules, and will actively facilitate the smooth execution of work across the team. Duties Include:

Maintain and track action item lists and meeting minutes from project meetings. Follow up with responsible parties to ensure timely completion of action items. Identify and help remove roadblocks affecting technical progress. Coordinate and track management of change activities (scope changes, trends, and Design Change Notices). Execute technical tasks that support System Integration initiatives. Maintain and facilitate updates to project risk registers. Participate in schedule reviews and assist in progress tracking. Review and prepare project status and performance reports. Support the preparation of project deliverables, including scopes of work, estimates, and interface documents (e.g., Design Basis Memorandum, Project Execution Plan, RACI charts, and progress reports). Support business development activities for the System Integration group, including proposal preparation. Conduct business analytics and data analysis to support the development of digital twins and other smart asset initiatives. Coordinate with the SI Manager to align project-specific resourcing. Provide general coordination and administrative support for all project activities. Performing other duties as requested

Requirements

Post secondary education in engineering, design, or project management Ability to meet safety requirements to attend site visits across North America Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project). Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal) Proactive and client-focused, anticipating the needs of internal and external stakeholders Self-starter displaying independence and self-direction Ability to quickly develop rapport with team members and clients Detail orientation and good organizational skills Effective presentation and communication skills Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team comprised of engineers, designers, and project support personnel Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a technical or engineering setting

Preferred

10 years' related experience in engineering and design with a knowledge of engineering documentation required through project lifecycle Bachelor's degree in engineering or applied science with project execution experience including design, engineering, and supply chain management Experience with Materials Management, including coordination of procurement, logistics, and material tracking within engineering or construction projects Experience with development or project management of Digital Twins for project execution and/or operations and maintenance Strong knowledge of engineering terms and document types Proven understanding of how to read and interpret a basic engineering documentation Understanding of IT and cloud-based infrastructure Experience with AVEVA Tools (e.g., Engineering, Instrumentation, Electrical, E3D, AIM, ERM, etc.)
