ITR Laboratories Canada has been servicing the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for over 30 years and has established itself as a trusted partner worldwide in Drug Safety Testing. We are actively seeking a System Administrator to join our team as we continue to expand our reach and services.

Main Responsibilities:

• Network architecture, security, administration and optimization;
• Backup and media administration;
• Storage administration and optimization;
• Installation, operations, maintenance and user support for Windows and Linux systems;
• IT System monitoring;
• Implement software applications security policies.
• Participate on the validation and implementation of computerized systems
• Participate on the edition and revision of IT procedures.
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues;
• Other related tasks;

Requirements:

• University degree in computer science, computer systems engineering or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT operations
• Knowledge of Windows System administration and Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP;
• Knowledge of Network administration and cabling principals within telecom racks and closets;
• Good understanding of Network security (Firewall, VLAN);
• Knowledge of Storage administration (SAN/NAS);
• Knowledge of VMware and virtualization technologies;
• Knowledge / pertinent experience with Citrix environment;
• System monitoring (Zabbix, Nagios, SNMP, etc.);
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes;
• Results and detail-oriented;
• Good Verbal and written communication skills in English, able to communicate in French.
