Position SummaryThe Faculty of Social Work at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach the following in person (Saskatoon) course during the Winter 2025 semester:SW 390 - Communication Skills in Social Work Practice
This course specifically focuses on the development of skills necessary for competent social work communication in a variety of social work roles and settings. An introduction to communication theory is provided with an emphasis on skill development for students. Role plays and recorded sessions are required.The semester class period is from January 6, 2025 to April 11, 2025 with the final exam period running from April 14 to 26, 2025.Sessional Lecturers that are teaching in person classes are expected to teach 13 synchronous classes throughout the semester in person on campus.Expectations for Sessional Lecturers include, but aren\'t limited to, the following:
