What this job involves:



JLL is growing its Canadian Property Management team to deliver world-class Environmental, Social and Governance services to sophisticated owners and occupiers. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our Sustainability Team. Reporting to the Manager, Sustainability, the successful person will support JLL's growing Sustainability team with the development and execution of strategies that are tailored to meet client needs and deliver on JLL's global sustainability commitments of achieving net zero carbon emissions in operational carbon by 2040. From Climate Resilience to Circular Economy and Health & Well-being, you will work with industry leading professionals and inspired clients to deliver meaningful work that can lead to meaningful change.



The Sustainability Coordinator will work on multiple projects at one time, employing a range of skills, so flexibility and adaptability are valued qualities.



This is a fixed term position until May 2027. This is remote based position in with opportunity to work from the corporate office. Candidates must be located in Ontario or Quebec.



What your day-to-day will look like:



Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth roll-out of initiatives across the portfolio, including with internal colleagues, clients, property teams, external consultants, and suppliers.



Support execution of the ESG certification strategy, including updating documentation, managing the BOMA BEST Hub and relationship with BOMA Canada, supporting the verification process, and working closely with property management teams as needed.



Support ongoing collection and analysis of ESG data and tracking property team compliance and progress using the internal ESG data management system.



Support the ESG audit procurement strategy, including updating and maintaining audit schedules, procuring consultants, and deployment process.



Manage consultant relationships as needed for all ESG certifications and audits by answering questions about the process, clarifying items in the scope of work (SOW), facilitating property connections as needed, and providing centralized documentation



Plan and execute a select number of ESG engagement events throughout the year, including the creation and delivery of engagement initiatives, training materials, and guidelines to build capacity across the property teams.



Facilitate annual reporting projects (e.g., GRESB), liaising between consultants and property teams to ensure the timely completion of questionnaires.



Perform research on various topics to support client recommendations, inform the feasibility of proposed projects, and to keep existing materials up to date.



Take meeting minutes and compile summary reports, when required.



Support ad hoc client requests and internal projects, when required.



Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all information processed.



Required Qualifications:



1+ years of relevant experience in the implementation of sustainability projects.



Bachelor's degree in environmental science or studies, engineering, building science, business with sustainability, or related field.



Strong attention to detail with proven abilities in project management and delivery.



Self-motivated and team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.



Effective communication and presentation skills; ability to summarize large amounts of information succinctly.



A demonstrated ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments.



Preferred Qualifications:



Fluency in French (spoken and written), an asset.



Knowledge of technologies and techniques to support sustainability efforts, such as zero waste, health and well-being, biodiversity, etc., an asset.

Relevant du gestionnaire, Durabilite, la personne retenue appuiera l'equipe grandissante de JLL en matiere de durabilite dans l'elaboration et l'execution de strategies adaptees aux besoins des clients et dans la realisation des engagements mondiaux de JLL en matiere de durabilite, soit d'atteindre des emissions de carbone operationnelles nettes nulles d'ici 2040. De la resilience climatique a l'economie circulaire, en passant par la sante et le bien-etre, vous travaillerez avec des professionnels de premier plan et des clients inspires pour realiser un travail significatif qui peut mener a des changements importants.

Le coordonnateur ou la coordonnatrice du developpement durable travaillera sur plusieurs projets a la fois, en utilisant un eventail de competences. La souplesse et la capacite d'adaptation sont donc des qualites appreciees.

Il s'agit d'un poste a duree determinee jusqu'en mai 2027. Il s'agit d'un poste a distance avec la possibilite de travailler au siege social. Les candidats doivent etre situes en Ontario ou au Quebec.

CE QUE VOUS FEREZ

Communiquer et collaborer avec les principales parties prenantes pour assurer le bon deroulement des initiatives dans l'ensemble du portefeuille, y compris avec les collegues internes, les clients, les equipes immobilieres, les consultants externes et les fournisseurs.



Soutenir l'execution de la strategie de certification ESG, y compris la mise a jour de la documentation, la gestion du centre BOMA BEST et la relation avec BOMA Canada, le soutien du processus de verification et la collaboration etroite avec les equipes de gestion immobiliere, au besoin.



Soutenir la collecte et l'analyse continues des donnees ESG et le suivi de la conformite et des progres de l'equipe immobiliere a l'aide du systeme interne de gestion des donnees ESG.



Soutenir la strategie d'approvisionnement en matiere d'audit ESG, y compris la mise a jour et la tenue des calendriers d'audit, l'approvisionnement en consultants et le processus de deploiement.



Gerer les relations avec les consultants, au besoin, pour toutes les certifications et tous les audits ESG en repondant aux questions sur le processus, en clarifiant les elements dans la portee des travaux (PDT), en facilitant les liens avec les proprietes, au besoin, et en fournissant une documentation centralisee



Planifier et executer un nombre choisi d'evenements d'engagement ESG tout au long de l'annee, y compris la creation et la mise en oeuvre d'initiatives d'engagement, de materiel de formation et de lignes directrices pour renforcer les capacites des equipes immobilieres.



Faciliter les projets de rapports annuels (p. ex., GRESB), en assurant la liaison entre les consultants et les equipes immobilieres pour garantir l'achevement en temps opportun des questionnaires.



Effectuer des recherches sur divers sujets pour appuyer les recommandations aux clients, eclairer la faisabilite des projets proposes et maintenir a jour les documents existants.



Rediger les proces-verbaux des reunions et compiler les rapports sommaires, au besoin.



Soutenir les demandes ponctuelles des clients et les projets internes, au besoin.



Maintenir l'integrite et la confidentialite de toutes les informations traitees.



CE QUE NOUS RECHERCHONS

Plus d'un an d'experience pertinente dans la mise en oeuvre de projets de developpement durable.



Baccalaureat en sciences ou etudes environnementales, en ingenierie, en science du batiment, en administration des affaires avec specialisation en developpement durable ou dans un domaine connexe.



Grande minutie et aptitudes averees en gestion et en execution de projets.



Personne motivee et axee sur le travail d'equipe, dotee d'excellentes aptitudes interpersonnelles.



Competences efficaces en communication et en presentation; capacite de resumer succinctement de grandes quantites d'information.



Capacite demontree a effectuer des taches multiples et a executer un large eventail de mandats.



Maitrise du francais (parle et ecrit), un atout.



Connaissance des technologies et des techniques pour soutenir les efforts de durabilite, comme le zero dechet, la sante et le bien-etre, la biodiversite, etc., un actif.



Interactions orales et/ou ecrites avec des locataires ou partenaires externes bases a l'exterieur du Quebec (par exemple, fournisseurs de services, cabinets d'avocats, pairs, banquiers, firmes de courtage, firmes d'analyse de credit, agences de credits, clientele non-francophone, etc.)
