Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, particularly in the art of sushi making. This role requires a deep understanding of food safety standards and the ability to create high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring high quality and consistency. Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi items or seasonal specials. Maintain inventory of sushi ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for guests. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and serving food as needed.

Experience

Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices. Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences.
