We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Roller to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Roller, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi rolls that meet our standards for taste and presentation. Your expertise will contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Prepare sushi rice and other ingredients according to established recipes and standards.
Roll sushi using various techniques, ensuring proper presentation and portion sizes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to food safety guidelines.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in roles related to food preparation or culinary arts.
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a sushi restaurant or sushi bar.
Strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety protocols are essential.
Prior experience in a Korean-owned restaurant environment will be considered an asset.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
Schedule:
Full-time: 3-4 days per week, including weekends
Part-time: 2-3 days per week, including weekends
