We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker/ Sushi roller to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Maker, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
Prepare and assemble various types of sushi rolls
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area throughout the shift.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service during busy periods.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of sushi ingredients and notifying management when supplies need replenishing.
Requirements
1 year experience in a sushi restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred, with a focus on food preparation and handling.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential to ensure compliance with health standards.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in presentation and quality of food served.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
