Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste
Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, cooking rice, and assembling rolls
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Assist in menu planning by suggesting new sushi creations and seasonal specials
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
Support catering events by preparing sushi platters and assisting with large-scale meal preparations
Collaborate with team members to deliver prompt, friendly service that exceeds customer expectations
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knife skills and familiarity with sushi-making techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling practices
Experience in menu planning and creating visually appealing dishes
Background in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments preferred
