As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our standards of excellence while adhering to food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Assist in the planning of menus and daily specials, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Maintain proper food handling techniques to ensure the safety and quality of all dishes served.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures is essential.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry is required.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
