Responsibilities
Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and artistry, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety guidelines.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during peak hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs for restocking to management.
Stay updated on current trends in sushi preparation and presentation techniques to enhance menu offerings.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment, specifically in sushi or Japanese cuisine.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling techniques.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various sushi-making techniques.
