STRABAG is actively seeking a Surveyor for our Canadian Business Unit, where he/she can utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization. The Surveyor will be responsible for the project in Toronto.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform survey works using robotic total stations, GPS, and level instruments
Maintain and verify site control points and benchmarks
Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated
Perform construction layouts work in various stages
Download field data and make records ready for processing and documentation
Work/coordinate with the Surveyor office and other field personnel
Perform quantity/as built surveys and drafting in Civil 3D
Prepare daily work report
Rotational shift work required
Knowledge and Skills:
Precise and accurate survey measurement methodology
Working knowledge of complex surveyor tools and GPS equipment
Working knowledge of CAD, Micro Survey, and Microsoft Office Software
Adaptable to changing priorities and procedures
Self-motivated, with strong analytical skills, and detail-oriented
Excellent organizational, communication (both written and oral), and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
Possess the following personal qualities: integrity, creativity, high standards, commitment, ethical values, and achievement oriented
Good Civil 3D experience in Construction and Survey drawings
Qualifications:
University Degree or Diploma in Surveying/ Engineering, or applicable field
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the land surveying field including minimum of 3 years of tunnel surveys or heavy civil construction
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs
