Scheffer Andrew Ltd. is currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our team for a seasonal position. Scheffer Andrew Ltd. is a medium sized engineering and planning consulting firm, which has operated in Western Canada, primarily Alberta, for more than forty years. We currently have three offices in Alberta with more than 30 employees. Our work focuses on municipal, land development and transportation engineering. Duties of this position will include, and are not limited to:
- Topographical surveys, subdivision construction layout, and other Geomatic work
- Field experience should include traditional survey equipment (i.e., level and chain), total station, GPS systems (including data collector usage), subdivision survey and construction layout calculations as well as volume calculations
- Assist in performing field inspection and administration duties for municipal engineering and land development servicing projects such as:
- Inspection/review of the construction of sewers, water mains and roads.
- Arrange and coordinate required testing and review test results.
- Liaison with contractors, clients, and municipal officials.
- Record keeping and project monitoring
- \xc2\xb7Some education in Civil Engineering Technology or Geomatics Engineering Technology
- A vehicle and a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license are required for this position
