Summary

The Surveillance Operator is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our buildings, tenants, and visitors. This role includes monitoring access, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate reports. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, and committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment on our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring only authorized individuals are allowed entry during night hours.

Monitor security cameras and alarm systems in the control room, reporting any suspicious activity immediately.

Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies or incidents, such as fire, medical situations, or security breaches.

Conduct occasional patrols, when required, to support surveillance and deter unauthorized activity.

Maintain accurate and detailed reports of any incidents or unusual activities during the shift.

Complete administrative duties related to monitoring and reporting.

Collaborate with other security personnel, local law enforcement, or emergency services when necessary.

Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Professional, calm, and approachable, with the ability to provide clear support when required.

Reliable and proactive in monitoring and reporting activities.

Qualifications (Required):

Previous experience in security, monitoring, law enforcement, or a related field is an asset.

Clear criminal record.

A valid New Brunswick driver's license is preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 and comfortable using computer-based monitoring systems.

Willing and able to work night shifts.

First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.

Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
