Summary
Due to one of our AMAZING team members re-locating, we are presently seeking
one full-time Surveillance Investigator/Operator
(
Nights)
to become a part of one of the finest teams in Calgary! By working at Deerfoot Inn & Casino, you will acquire valuable knowledge and experience in crime prevention within a distinctive and thrilling environment.
The Surveillance team holds the main responsibility for observing and documenting the daily operations of the casino floor, overseeing all gaming activities to guarantee adherence to AGLC Casino Terms, Conditions, and Operating Guidelines, internal policies, and house rules, in addition to the hotel's public areas. The Surveillance Investigator will also need to supervise various radio channels, carry out internal and external investigations, monitor alarm systems, and perform other necessary tasks.
What we're looking for:
The Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
A minimum of 2+ years recent Casino Investigator (Operator) or Casino Gaming/dealer Experience is required.* Post-Secondary education in Criminology, Justice studies or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
Clear Calgary Police / RCMP Security Clearance - No Criminal Convictions or pending charges within the court system.
AGLC Certificates including AML, Deal Us in Casino Staff Training (Phase 1 & 2), ProTect & ProServe Required
Must have a minimum Valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C Training
Exceptional proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office, Adobe and other Windows-based software.
Excellent communication abilities, as candidates are required to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to work in a high pace environment
Demonstrate a strong commitment to honesty and integrity
Compliance with elevated standards, methodologies, and protocols
Familiarity with AGLC Policies and Procedures
Capability to collaborate effectively within a team setting
Knowledge of Casino Games (Poker, Baccarat, Texas Hold'em, Blackjack etc) is very important for this role
The Important Stuff:
This role is designated for a Night Shift Investigator, operating from 1800 to 0600 hours, following a rotation schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, and 2 days off. Please note that the schedule may be adjusted based on the business or operational requirements of Deerfoot Inn & Casino. Given our shift timings, the candidate must possess a vehicle to reach the site, as public transportation is not dependable in this region. Final starting wage, will be based on individual's Casino Gaming experience and may be different than posted.
