What is the opportunity?

We currently have 2 openings for an energetic individual to join our Surface Mount Team to build a career as a Surface Mount Machine Operator in the electronics industry.

If you are experienced in electronics (specifically printed circuit boards), have a strong technical aptitude, have operated pick and place machines, and enjoy structured work that relies on your keen attention to detail, we want to hear from you!

The openings are on our

Day Shift

which runs from 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday to Friday, and on our

Evening Shift

which runs from 3:00 pm - 1:30 am, Monday-Thursday.

Past experience and/or familiarity with electronic components would be preferred, but we are willing to train down to basics with the right individual.

What will you do?

Operate Juki Pick and Place Machines, printers, ovens, board loaders, and feeders Ensure the highest level of quality is maintained for boards produced Read and follow Manufacturing Instructions provided with accuracy and great attention to detail Fill out paperwork for checkpoints on each job Verify and set up of parts onto feeders and machines Responsible for the general organization and cleanliness of the department Other duties as assigned

Must-have

Prior experience running an SMT Line is preferred or 2+ years working in an electronics environment with an understanding of PCB's, electronic components, SMT machine operation Confidence in operating machinery in a safe manner Able to speak, read, and write fluent English Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately Excellent concentration and communication skills, keen attention to detail, good hand/eye coordination Able to stand for long periods of time Basic computer skills

Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for an electronics manufacturing environment. Work can involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 lbs. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment and safety training to operate. WHMIS training provided for all employees. There will be times where chemicals will be used in the production process.

Further details:

This is a full-time, 40 hour work week position based in the Foothills Industrial Park in Calgary, AB. Those who apply should have their own mode of transportation and be able to arrive on time. Bus routes are limited or non-existent for early morning and late evening shifts.
