A typical day:

Oversight of all aspects of project acquisition, including negotiations, of all surface rights necessary to support upstream and downstream development in the Canadian Operating Area from project kick off to final reclamation.

Develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships with landowners, regulatory bodies, stakeholders, key decision makers in governmental agencies, local organizations, Indigenous communities, and community groups.

Prepare and conduct landowner notifications to ensure transparent and timely communication.
/lili
Engage cross-functional teams to support operations and ensure project success.
/lili
Analyze and mitigate risk to ensure capital and operations execution.
/lili
Ensure client is visible in the communities in which we operate by attending landowner synergy and industry meetings, information sessions, Indigenous cultural events, and meetings with Municipalities and government representatives across the Canadian Operating Area.

Successful candidates will have:

3+ years of surface land acquisition experience, in the oil and gas industry, Valid Alberta Land Agent License preferred.

Proven track record of successful land negotiations and project management.

Strong knowledge of land management principles, practices, and applicable regulations in Canada, particularly in Alberta and British Columbia.

Exhibited engagement skills in stakeholder interactions, ensuring clear communication and timely document management, Active member of CALEP and/or IRWA associations considered an asset.

Creative and proactive problem solver with strong negotiation and conflict management skills,This position requires
50% of time in the field and requires flexibility to accommodate stakeholder schedules.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative attitude.
/lili
Knowledge of administrative duties required to complete acquisitions considered an asset, Self-starter with the ability to excel with minimal supervision.
/lili
Ability to adhere to deadlines and time sensitive requests while assessing and communicating risk associated with program deliverables.
